THE MAGIC OF LAPLAND AT ATENEUM, FINLAND




Lapland in Art from the 1800s to Today

The exhibition explores the history of Finnish art from the 1800s to the present by means of a single familiar and recognisable theme: the portrayal of Lapland.

The northern colours and light are present in these works of art, created by such artists as Gabriel Engberg, Juho Kyyhkynen, Einari Junttila, Reidar Särestöniemi, Kalervo Palsa, Marja Vuorelainen, Jussi Niva and Outi Pieski.
